Our Services

There are three services on Sundays (9.00 a.m., 10.30 a.m. and 700 p.m.), each with a different character.

The 9am service is more formal than our other services and is either Morning Prayer or Holy Communion.

At 10.30am we have morning worship and teaching, or an occasional Family Service and Family Communion on the third Sunday.  Worship is led by gifted worship leaders, vocalists and musicians using a wide variety of instruments as appropriate (organ, piano, keyboard, flute, violin, guitar, bass and percussion).  The majority of the hymns and songs are from Songs of Fellowship.  Dance and drama led by our Creative Worship Group are incorporated from time to time.   The children meet in their Cell Groups after opening worship in the service, rejoining their parents for Family Communion on the third Sunday.  A crèche is available for very young children.
Coffee is normally served after our 10-30 am service.

At 7pm on the first Sunday of each month we have Informal Communion.
Evening services tend to be more informal 'open' times of worship.

L8  is part of the evening service structure at Christ Church on the second and forth Sundays . It is based on worship, teaching and fellowship. There is encouragement for trainee preachers, worship leaders and hosts to ‘have a go’. The service is committed to trying out new things and exploring different worship styles. The format of the evening includes a break part way through for refreshments.

A Prayer Ministry team is available to pray with members of the congregation after all the Sunday services.

The clergy do not usually robe for any of our services.   The laity play a considerable role in all aspects of worship, prayer and teaching during services.

All who love the Lord and have been baptised are welcome to share in the Bread and Wine at The Lord's Table.
